This unique, modern home had a disproportionate private to public space ratio and effectively no garage. The clients were only interested in the latest green construction methods with emphasis on indoor air quality and energy efficiency. InkStone navigated three town department regulations and created a 1,600 SF addition that instated so well that it looks original to the house. Improvements include:
- Triple pane windows imported from Poland
- Insulated window headers
- Recyclable cellulose insulation
- Additional, exterior insulation creating an R-Value well above building code
- Air filter system for high air quality
- Steel structure incorporated into concrete foundation and retaining wall system.
- Integration of new structure into sophisticated backyard landscape design including spa and series of decks and walks over a steep slope down to adjacent wetlands.
- Custom detailed trim work interior and exterior
- Custom oversized skylights and custom garage doors
- Tesla charging power wall inside insulated and conditioned garage space.
