Deck House Reveal
Deck Houses are customizable architect designed kit homes from the 1960s built by individual builders hired by the original owners. Materiality and craftsmanship are prized but some functionality can get lost in the details. This homeowner loved her Deck House but had enough of constricting halls and doorways. She needed a new kitchen and bathrooms and a more open feeling throughout the house. We were able to surprise her with a new indoor/outdoor connection to her screen porch creating an axis of traffic and views parallel to the ridge line.
